A similar thing happened to me years ago, but far less violent. My friend’s big orange tabby “Raleigh” beat the crap out of his parents’ dog after the little monster wouldn’t stop attacking me. The dog ran for his life, and Raleigh proudly nodded at me in triumph. All of us human folks laughed in amazement, and I lifted my cocktail in great appreciation to the obvious king of that house! Raleigh and I were buddies.
That’s so cool!! I love stories like that becuase it shows how animals are capable of bravery and love, too. I’ve always had cats growing up, but can’t afford them right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to one day. Do you have pets?
Not anymore, but I loved the cats I have had – “Boots,” “Doobie,” “Rasputin” (“Raz”), and “Yoda.”
Btw, here’s an update on hero cat “Tara:” http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/hero-cat-who-saved-boy-will-throw-first-pitch-baseball-n107116
Yeah, I heard about this! It’s so sweet for the town to honor her, isn’t it! I hope they video tape her “throwing” the ball, or whatever she ends up doing with it!!
